RADAR

My name is “Radar” and I’m focused on finding my forever home. But I think I need to give you some facts about me.  You see I’m a southern boy. Born in Florida, with all that warm sunny weather & an ocean to swim in every time we went for a walk, I need to get use to this Chicago weather. So being the good shepherd I can deal with the change. I love playing with other pooches, going for car rides, visiting the pet store. And at 6months of age, depending on my attention span, I might even show you all the tricks I know.  The intelligence in my eyes & manners are just the beginning of what there still is to learn & experience. Yet with all that is positive, I do have a situation to mention. You see, I was born with Hip Dysplasia.  I had surgery on Dec 6th for the worst hip & it is strongly recommended that the other hip be done after I recover from this surgery. But Hey!!!, that’s no big deal, as I’m already on the mend & with two great hips… my world will be pain free & I will be able to play like any normal pup.  My foster mom says with my temperament, looks, & intelligence my new family needs to be sharp & special to keep up with me.  Are you that family? Then come find me at Simply Shepherds Rescue.

ELLIE

This is Ellie….She is truly a “Pocket Shepherd”.  With her petite frame and weight at about 48lbs, her beauty shows throughout her whole body.  This gal needs a very patient and understanding human family, and probably no young children. You see she was left in the back yard or kept in a crate in the basement for 2 yrs.  Everything and everyone is scary. She does however respond quite well to the other pooches in the foster home, so a companion dog is suggested.  Everyday she responds to humans giving her treats, petting her and going for small walks.  Are you that family, can you help Ellie find her forever home?

LT
ADOPTED
Our newest addition is “LT”. This stunning handsome black & red boy of 3yrs found himself in a shelter because he did not like to stay outside all the time…Duh! Of course not Shepherds like to be part of the family and interact with humans.  LT is a large boy but still needs to put on a couple of pounds an to regain his shiny coat.  He is learning that good manners get him plenty of treats and runs and ball playing and belly rubs!  He gets along with the other dogs in the foster home, yet he is too pushy for small children. Obedience classes are required, along with experience as a shepherd  owner. Are you looking for a real hunk and lover to add to your home. Send an application for “LT”.

DELILAH

ADOPTED

While we believe all of our shepherds are gorgeous, the striking beauty, grace and charm of this lady will truly seduce you to invite her into your life.  At 2yrs she is sweet and gentle, very lady-like in personality and quite the charmer.  She can get along with other dogs if they have good manners. She is nervous sometimes around small children, so older kids are suggested. Even though she is thin, with each day in her foster home, she is gaining weight and confidence.  Don’t let this gal get away, make her part of your home forever.

PIPER
ADOPTED

Hi, my name is Piper.  Sometimes rescue mom is sensitive to looks or characteristics of German Shepherds.  Well, when my foster mom saw me she said I was coming home with her ASAP.  I'm glad you did.  You see, other dogs had not been nice to me and I was timid and scared.  But here at my foster home everything is wonderful.  The boy dogs here behave and give me space.  The food treats and beds here are top notch from what I had before.  I just need some nice gentle folks to give me time to cuddle, give me kisses, talk walks play fetch and most of all be LOVED.  Come visit me at PETCO - Oak Lawn.  I will be the elegant sable lady waiting to give you kisses.

DARLA

ADOPTED

My name is Darla, and I am sooooo happy to be in foster rescue. There is a nice bed, good food, and a yard to run and leap in with the other dogs.  My picture really does not show my true beauty. I am only about 12-15mo old & already folks are amazed by my stunning beauty, manners and charm.  I have some basic training, yet eager to learn more to make me into the “perfect” shepherd.  Fill out an application and come see me at Petco – OakLawn, I’m the gorgeous blond!

CHANCE

I'm sitting on top of the world! And life is pretty good for me right now. I made a very long trip to look for a forever home. My foster mom & everyone that meets me just loves how sweet my personality is. Happy, happier, happiest shepherd in rescue. I'm a little on the senior age side, but that doesn't stop me from romping in the yard, as my hips are good.
Yeah, my teeth are a little worn, but I still like those marrow bones. The other pooches in the house are kind to me. So come visit me at the Petco store.... I'll be the handsomest shepherd there!. Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm blind.

EDEN

This is one gorgeous southern belle!  She has traveled hundreds of miles to come up north for her forever home.  Her slender shape, shiny coat and the sparkle in her eyes will make you smile when you meet her.  She is eager to learn everything we ask of her and can’t wait to find her family to continue her education with obedience classes.  She is very affectionate with all the folks she meets and would love to be a “Princess” of the home as an only dog.  Eden is about 75lbs, fully vetted and micro-chipped.   Are you ready for some real southern charm…. Then meet Eden.

CODI

ADOPTED

Hi, my name is Codi, and I am a 2yr old King Cavalier-Maltese male that is looking for “L.O.V.E”.   My manners and behavior are awesome. I have been raised with kids, can handle myself around most dogs, but people & kids are more important in my life.  I recently went to the groomers and told them to give me a short coat groom; otherwise my coat is long and wavy.    I’m more than just handsome……  I’m the best available guy in town!

So don’t wait too long and give these shepherd folks a call about me or fill out an application on-line.  I don’t think it will take long to find my forever home…. Will it be yours???

LUCKY
ADOPTED

My name is Lucky…… and I’m the new guy in the big city. I’m a southern boy that came up on a private transport, sitting in the front seat, taking in all the sites and smells.  When I arrived, the kind folks gave me treats, and hugs, and more treats, and the top of the line bath and grooming.  They really put out the welcoming mat up here!

So, here are some facts: I’m a 6yr old neutered male, UTD in vaccinations, micro-chipped.  Good with folks, (kids need to mature), good with dogs, (already have 2 girls friends –hahaha), and most of all quite handsome.  I’m in good shape, not a large guy, about 75lbs.  So with the name Lucky, I’m happy to be in good company and looking forward to the rest of my life with that special family.  Come meet me, you won’t be disappointed.

DAVY
ADOPTED

This handsome young male of 18 months is one delightful shepherd.  And yes he is all boy!

He loves to pick up his water/food bowls when they are empty and throw them in the air and make lots of noise. He will steal towels or shoes and then run for you to chase him.

Davy gets along with the other dogs in the house and is respectful of the older dogs. He was raised with children, but never taught how a proper shepherd should conduct himself.  He will need to go to a home with older kids and definitely classes for training.  He loves all sorts of folks, especially for rub downs or belly rubs. He has a soft mouth for treats and very eager to learn.  Davy is up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped and neutered.  If you have a place in your heart. contact us about this wonderful guy.

Meet Cartoon Dog.  Well behaved, handsome and a bit 2 dimensional.  Needs a loving home.  If you have a folder on your desktop you can give him his forever home.
